Food aid programs in the world

 There are different options to participate to food aid programs:

• To be engaged in association
• To give money
• To give food

The first food aid program was created in 1961 by United Nations : it was to help southern countries in their development.

Who needs help of food aid program?

In the world, 842 million people suffer from hunger. To support them, food aids programs are created. These associations act especially in Africa or Asia, because population underfeed live in this continent

All the countries need food aid programs. Indeed in poor countries, in the south part, many people suffer of hunger, mainly farmers suffer of hunger, but in north countries some people are underfeed too, in particular unemployed persons and homeless

Program « hunger zero »

 Program « hunger zero » is a program which was created by Lula the Brazilian’s president. Program “hunger zero” acts on different stages, it helps people to live and to go to school but the most important is to help people to eat. The state takes a stock of food and give them. Moreover, this program gives food to school to assure a free meal every day to each student.

The world food program

  The World Food Program was created by the ONU, to help people who suffer from alimentary insecurity. It is the biggest agency to help against food problems.

 The World Food Program goal is to eliminate hunger and poverty in the World, responding to emergency needs and support economic and social development.

WFP also aims to reduce infant mortality, improve the health of pregnant women and the fight against micronutrient deficiency and against diseases like VIH.The WFP feeds 80 million persons in 80 countries.

Every alimentations program are different, they act by different way in different country, some associations act for children, others for homeless. Alimentations programs are a way to food population in need; they help poor population and allow reducing the hunger in the world.

Could Food aid programs stop the anger?

Food aids programs help many people, but in some countries, population hasn’t access to this help… Also, give food isn’t a durable solution because, people who receive this food can eat just a few days  but not for life. As we can see in this proverb: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”
